Introduction to Circles
The LAIRP Restorative Circles Training provides educators with a foundational understanding of how circles build trust, strengthen relationships, and support emotional safety. Participants learn the neuroscience behind right-brain practices and why connection, empathy, and psychological safety must come before problem-solving or discipline. The training introduces core circle structures, including community-building circles, check-ins, problem-solving circles, and reflection circles, while modeling how to use affective language and active listening to deepen dialogue. Through demonstrations, storytelling, and hands-on practice, attendees gain confidence facilitating circles that foster belonging, co-regulation, and shared responsibility. By the end, participants leave with practical tools, ready-to-use scripts, and a clearer vision for building restorative, right-brain-aligned communities in their schools or organizations.
